Why the Art of IF?
Few blogs focus on the visual side of interactive fiction (IF), despite that visual novels rely heavily on illustration and even text-based interactive stories often have cover or box art. Unfortunately, many illustrators are busy working on their projects, and blogs tend to fall by the wayside when run by individuals. This is the purpose of a collective.
While some contributors might write about the actual craft of interactive fiction, the emphasis here is on art: asset creation, process, and visual direction, in particular centering on the personal work of the contributors.
What is a Visual Novel?
A visual novel is a form of interactive fiction that typically tells a story using static images and sound.
